This project involved the construction of a POD extension on the second floor at the rear of the property after Planning approval. Work started following the erection of scaffolding that cantilevered over the adjoining owners property to provide access to build all sides of the new extension. Construction started with the removal of the existing roof, building up of the party wall and structural work to introduce supporting steel and timber frame for the extension. All walls were constructed in timber, insulated and lined internally with plasterboard and externally with plywood, breather membrane, battened and slate finished. The extension created a new bathroom, the project also included forming an en-suite on the first floor.
